I studied styling , sewing, garment construction and pattern making at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, as well as completing a Master Alteration Specialist Certificate through the Association of Sewing and Design Professionals. As an ASDP member, we are held to a higher standards of quality. These standards represent the five major areas of expertise a professional garment sewer must practice in order to consistently produce a quality product. They are as follows: Sewing Technique, Fit (encompassing Pattern Manipulation and Alteration), Textiles and Visual Design.
